Well what would a person be like without friends??..They would be pretty lonely, thats for sure...But I have managed to make some wonderful friends throughout the years, and since leaving Perth, I have left some wonderful friends behind, but since moving to Sydney I have made more wonderful friends.
Since moving to Sydney I have made some wonderful friends, we used to be housemates, and called ourselves the Amy St Gang, but even though we dont live with each other anymore, we still are the best of friends, and they do know how to take care of me if Im down, they have deciphered the form of english that I use and are generally the first people I call when Im bored.

Chris and Jo

Firstly I will introduce you to Chris and Jo. I first started talking to Chris on IRC way back before it was fashionable, not long after I moved to Sydney he met Jo. Then Jo moved from Alice Springs to Sydney and moved in with us.

Jo and Chris are getting married next year, in what Im hoping will be a Star Wars themed wedding. Both of these guys are great friends and we do go out on friday nights which we have called "Friday Night Drinking Nights" which this year has been a bit non-happening. As work gets in the way. But Im hoping that we do continue the trend this year.

The other member of the "Amy St Gang" is Jason, his nick is Waulok, I also met him on IRC, and when I first met him in real life, I didnt exactly like him, but we over came our differences and became firm friends. Jase and I have been through alot, but we are still friends. Jase has helped me move house, I've helped him move, I think his family are pretty kewl. Im actually living in his old appartment.

Jason got married in 2001, to a wonderful young lass by the name of Beck. I would like to welcome both Beck and Blake to the Amy St. Gang

And last but not least, is Stephen. Stephen has left us to go back to China to teach English, this is the second time Steve has gone to China, and we wish him well over there. Stephen is a great cook (Gee I waslucky to live in a place that has excelent Cooks), and also likes to sit up and watch Due South with me. :) Stephen puts up with us all and I reckon he has a good time out with us..Well us 5 are the "Amy St Gang" and we've had our ups and downs, but I dont think any of us will swap any of it,... well...maybe bits and peices..., for anything. Will have a photo of Steve later..

Jilda doing stocktaking

I met my friend Jilda in an english lecture at the University of New South Wales, in CLB 7 to be exact. On a Wednesday, morning in March, 1997, at the 9am lecture. I saw her there the week before and was quiet excited that there was another Aboriginal person taking the course as well. I walked up to Jilda, who was sitting there getting ready for this lecture, and introduced myself to her. I remember her just sitting there smiling, a big beautiful smile, and then after speaking non stop for about 2 minutes, hearing a hearty chuckle. Before this moment, I thought uni would be a cold, unforgiving and ok place to be. But after this, I had a feeling that this yr at uni would be a year that I would never forget. And I wasnt wrong. Even after my brief uni life, Jilda and I had a great time. Whether it was going to the movies or just going to her house for a swim, or a drive to Cronulla, it was always full of joy and happyiness. This picture was taken at the library in the school where we work. Jilda is doing the book-stocktake..

Me and Jilda - Summer 1998

This is my high school friend Chani and her son James. We met each other when we were in year 10 at Perth Modern School, and maintained our friendship all these years. Chani has always been there for me, and she's always put up with the "Im bored" phone calls. Even now..:). This photo of Chani and James was taken on New Years day 2002, at Sandra and Kirsty's place.

Janine and her family also have a special place in my heart. As with Chani, I met Janine in year 10 at Perth Mod and we became friends. Slowly her family became my second family. I not only got along with Janine, but with her brother Craig, her mum, her aunties, cousins, even her grandparents. Even now when I go back to Perth for holidays, I always make time to see Janine and her family.

This is another of my high school friends. Her name is Sandra and that is her partner Kirsty in the background. Sandra is pretty kewl..and we are always garanteed a great time when they are both around. This photo was taken at Chani's place Xmas Eve 2001.

All these wonderful people are my friends, I not only value each one but
I also gain wisdom and inspiration from them all.
